I first signed up with Justin in May 2011, standing 5'3" weighing 136lbs. Up until this point I had tried numerous diets & workout programs, such as P90X, Insanity, 4Hr Body, none of which got me remotely close to where I wanted to be; I felt that I had "read myself stupid" - meaning, I had read so many articles over the past several years I didn't know what to believe anymore. I was on Justin’s program for 3 weeks and then put it on pause for 3 weeks, in which time, I was partying every weekend and I managed to undo all my results, and was back at square one. I told Justin to be very blunt with me and tell me how much damage I was doing by going out all the time, I needed a wakeup call and to re-align my priorities. Either I was going to keep wishing and wanting to get into shape, or, I WAS going to be in shape, and finally happy with the way I looked. The choice was mine.

It was at the end of June when I decided to get serious, put myself first, and finally accomplish my goals once and for all. I made it a non-option to cheat on either the nutrition or training, at the end of the day I wanted to look back and know that I did everything I could, and that my results reflected that - I didn't want to wonder "if I didn't cheat there, there and there, would my results have been better?" I wanted to do this, and I wanted to do this right. To push myself even further, I told Justin that I wanted to do a fitness model competition, I figured why not? So for the next 4 months I simply did what Justin told me to do, it was pretty mindless to just go do the work and have someone else figure out the details. However, I do like to know the "how’s" and the "whys", and Justin always answered all the questions I had throughout the program.  At the end of October I competed in my first fitness model competition with IDFA and took 2nd in my class - I was in complete shock, spending the last 10 years trying/wanting to get into shape to placing 2nd was more then I had ever imagined; It took awhile for it all to really sink in, but I know that all my hard work and dedication paid off. One week later I competed in bikini in an ABBA show, and placed top 10 out of 31 girls in my class!

I lost a total of 18 pounds and more importantly, I lost 4" off my hips, 3.5" off each thigh, 3" off my waist and 1" on each arm. However, this was not only a physical transformation for me, through this process, I have let go of a lot of self-limiting thoughts and have grown so much as a person. I am officially hooked, and it was a no brainer for me to continue to work with Justin, continue to compete, make improvements, and better myself (...and win some trophies ;) )

 I have so much gratitude for Justin and Impact Nutrition and how much it has changed my life, it has been my most fulfilling journey thus far, and I can't wait to see what the next year brings!
